Diverse lineup to include Smokey Robinson, Chris Botti, Etta James, Merle Haggard and more
Win tickets to each show by registering for on-line contest starting Sept. 27th (LAS VEGAS, Nev. September 25, 2008) – Station Casinos, Inc., is proud to introduce Access Showroom, the company’s newest concert venue and lounge that will be featured inside Aliante Station Casino + Hotel (opening November 11th) located in North Las Vegas. This intimate, progressive theatre will make its public debut on November 14-15th when Motown legend Smokey Robinson brings to the stage his smooth soul sound that earned him 37 top 40 hits during his illustrious career. Robinson will be followed by REO Speedwagon, Poison front man and “Rock of Love” reality show star Bret Michaels; jazz trumpeter Chris Botti; country music outlaw Merle Haggard; Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades formerly of Damn Yankees; Etta James; Sully Erna of Godsmack and Aaron Lewis of Staind. Tickets for all acts can be purchased starting September 27th by calling (866) 264-1818 or (702) 547-5300. Guests can also book tickets online at www.stationcasinos.com. Also beginning September 27th, register to win a pair of tickets to all of the concert events on sale that day at www.AlianteCasinoHotel.com. Click on the “All Access Tickets” banner for a chance to win.
Access delivers world-class sound due to its state-of-the-art audio equipment and acoustical ceiling panels which enhance audio by reducing distortion, yet the 13,500 square-foot venue provides guests with a club-like feeling of intimacy (the furthest seat from the stage is a mere 75-feet away). The theatre’s physical appearance is a mixture of high-end and cutting-edge, thanks in part to the architectural design by Montreal-based Scéno-Plus, the same firm responsible for constructing Cirque du Soleil tailored theatres for numerous Las Vegas Strip properties; and interior design is by New York-based Studio Gaia.
Access Showroom can be utilized as a traditional concert venue, seating more than 600, or a more intimate lounge, seating up to 340, depending on how the space is set for the evening. The showroom can be complemented by a 16’ x 30’ video screen and two flanking 9’ x 16’ video screens to project a mix of immersive imagery to captivate the audience. When set for a concert, the 2,165 square foot stage and high-impact sound system create the perfect canvas for the world’s top musicians to display their art. Regardless of the configuration, those wanting VIP treatment need look no further than the posh booths and luxury boxes, both complete with table and bottle service; and premier sightlines to the action on the stage.
“Access will provide guests to Aliante Station with a great mix of sight, sound and style, making it the crown jewel of the Station Casinos’ concert venues,” said Judy Alberti, Corporate Vice President of Entertainment for Station Casinos, Inc.
“From Motown legend Smokey Robinson, to Sully Erna of Godsmack, to Merle Haggard and Etta James, Access will showcase an eclectic lineup of stars, appealing to every performance style that our guests have come to expect from Station Casinos. There will truly be something here for everyone.” Tickets will be on sale beginning Saturday, September 27. Ticket prices are per person and do not include applicable taxes and entertainment fees.
