North Las Vegas, Nev. – Aliante Station today reached a significant construction milestone as a symbolic evergreen tree was hoisted to the roof of the hotel tower signifying the completion of the concrete structure for the tower. The traditional construction event represents the strength of the new building and the desire for the construction project to remain injury-free. Representatives from Station Casinos and PENTA joined Station Construction LLC, Bomel Construction Company and more than 900 craftspeople at the topping out ceremony.
The $675 million project broke ground in late-February in North Las Vegas and is a 50/50 partnership between Station Casinos and the Greenspun Corporation. The property is scheduled to open late 2008 and will feature: 200 hotel rooms; a full array of gaming offerings including table games, slots, race and sports book and poker room; six restaurants; a 16-screen Regal Cinemas movie theatre; a 700-seat entertainment showroom and meeting/convention space.
“While today marks a significant step in the construction of Aliante Station, it is also an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to all of those who have contributed their trade expertise to this facility,” said Joe Hasson, general manager of Aliante Station.
